Julie and her staff are amazing animal lovers and provide the best grooming around! Our Sully has had some health issues and Julie took extra care to ensure his latest grooming appointment was not overly stressful; she's always caring and concerned for your pets well being! We moved from Canton to Dundee last year and make the drive in to town to continue to have the best care for our furry family member! Nothing short of spectacular!

UTPP is terrific. Her prices are very fair, and she handles my Lab beautifully. I used to have to sedate my Lab because she was so hard to control. After the first visit, I was told she'd be fine without it, and she has been! My Lab is a senior now and Julie has ramps to help her in the tub and grooming table. I think Julie has a Dr Doolittle knack with animals, my old girl is so relaxed and beautiful when I pick her up. I went to UTPP on several recommendations from "dog nuts" who raved not only about how great their dogs turned out, but how wonderful Julie was with their young, nervous dogs. Great little place!

I never write reviews, but I am still upset about how I was treated weeks after the appointment and strongly advise you to take your dog somewhere else.



The owner was very unprofessional, and does not understand what customer service is. I dropped my dog off for his first appointment at UPP and I wasn't greeted at the door, which I can get over, but instead the owner immediately said "Can you start filling out this paperwork?" I was 5 minutes early, so there was no need to rush. Then I didn't have his vet's number with me (which she didn't ask me to bring) so she was annoyed about that...but I looked it up on my phone, and it wasn't a big deal. However, I was really getting irritated at this point. I then left, and 20 minutes later she calls me to tell me she can't get him in her tub because he won't get in. He's a big dog, but she didn't seem to worry before I left. I offered to come get him, but she said I could just come back and help her. It took me about 15 minutes to get back there because I was running errands. When I got back she said, "Now I'm a half hour behind, so we have to hurry." I couldn't believe that she had an attitude about it! Then, we get him in the tub and she told me that I would have to wait until she was done washing him to get him on the drying table. She didn't ask me, she demanded it. At this point, I've basically done her job for her and am beyond annoyed. After I left for the second time, she called me and told me he'd be ready in about 20 minutes. I get there in about 40, and on my way to get him she had called me again to come get him, but I missed the call because I was driving. The second I walk in the door she tells me she couldn't him to go in the cage and he knows how to open the door behind the counter, and she couldn't get anything else done. Were any of her issues my fault? NO. Maybe you should hire additional help if you can't handle your job. I also want to mention that when my dog saw me, he started crying and ran for the door basically begging me to get him out of there, so I wouldn't be surprised if she treated him poorly when I wasn't there. She didn't thank me, and did not offer a discount. Absolutely disgusted by this place.



Bottom line, if you like to be treated poorly...you should go here. I'd give her 0 stars if that was an option.

I only take my dog to places I trust, and I feel good leaving him at the Uptown Poochie Parlor. This is a new addition to Canton, but after giving it a try, I am relieved to find a nice, affordable grooming shop that takes care of my pup.



Thanks again, my dog is still sparkling from his bath, and he smiled the whole way home!
