I recently had a bad experience with Malone's. I requested that a funeral arrangement be delivered. It was not delivered, and when I called to inquire why, I was told that the deliveryman took the arrangement to the grounds and gave it to some maintenance man who said he would take it to the chapel. I asked to speak to the manager concerning this incident. The manager was supposed to return my call. That was over two weeks ago, and I am still waiting for that call. Whatever happened to customer service, or even common courtesy? I do not think that giving the flowers to some random maintenance man on the grounds qualifies as an actual delivery attempt, and since the flowers never arrived at their destination, I should have either been offered a refund or another basket should have been sent to my aunt - at no cost to me. Mistakes do happen, but customer service is paramount when running a business. I live far away from my western PA relatives. For years my family used Brown's Florist in Canonsburg, and they never failed to deliver whatever we asked. I would expect the same from Malone's or any other florist. They entered into a contract to provide a service, and then did nothing when informed that they did not provide that service. Choose another florist!
