I had received a call from Allen and Sons, after they told me they could not service my range in the area I live in any time soon, but then called back and had a cancellation and could perform the service. They ended up charging $350.00 to replace a valve on the range, but after trying the range the oven did not hold or keep the temperature, the repairman Antony did not make any effort to test for any further problems. I went on line and the manufacturer stated it was most likely a temperature sensor problem. I called Allen and Sons back and told them it was still not working properly. The scheduler a woman said they would waive the cost of labor as this is their policy. The same repairman Antony came out and said that if he replaced the sensor the charge would be $77.00 for the part and $150.00 for labor. I explained to him that the company Allen and Sons had already agreed to waive the labor charge as the repair was within the time allotted. The repairman, Antony, became upset with that information and proceeded to call the home office for further instruction. Antony then came back to me and said that most likely the sensor would not fix the problem; it would now need a computer replacement as well. Furthermore Antony did not repair anything, he filled out a quote of $626.00 Plus tax, but did not replace the sensor even though I would agree to the $77.00 part charge. I felt that if they had made an effort to correct the existing problem by replacing the sensor, that would have been fair. This is NOT A REPUTABLE APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICE. THE COMPUTER IS PART OF THE CLOCK system and timer system and seems to be working right on spot, also the broiler works ok. The oven comes on but does not hold the heat once it starts, like it cannot determine the temperature. The part online is $63.84 and I went online to you tube to see how to repair the sensor. Here is the link it takes 2 mins to replace. Thanks for nothing Allen & Sons Appliance Repair; I will have to do this myself I guess. This is by far the WORST repair place. Do yourself a favor & go with someone else. Carlos who is very incompetent should find another profession.
Samsung has also been notified of the poor service!
I will also be contacting the consumer affairs regarding this matter that still hasn't ben handled.

STOP CALL SOMEONE ELSE*** BEWARE *** horrible customer service! Repair guy cracked my washer's panel and blamed it on whomever repaired the washer before. This was the first time the washer was serviced. Spoke with Danny, manager and he swore the guy didn't break it but had never saw pictures. DO NOT USE THEM! And when I called to ask what was the process for getting another panel the receptionist, Maria, was very nasty.

I called Allen & Sons in mid November to repair my refrigerator which was over cooling on the fridge side, under cooling on the freezer and had an error message on the digital display. We were usually able to fix it temporarily by unplugging the fridge and plugging it in again. But our fix would only last a few hours so I decided to get a professional to repair it.





Their employee Larry said that parts and labor to fix my refrigerator would be $400. The price was steep but It took about a week to get him out to my house and I eager to get it fixed I wanted to avoid buying a new refrigerator.





After giving his estimate, he charged me for the parts and set an appointment for about a week later. He told us to get all of our food out of the refrigerator because it had to be 100% defrosted before he could work on it. Then his company canceled the appointment and rescheduled for the next day. I explained to his company that our food wouldn't last that long in coolers and asked if they had anyone else who could do it and they said no. As a result of us putting our food in coolers on ice, we lost about half of our food. When he finally showed up, I asked him if he had the flu and he said he needed the day off because of his stress and that he was the only person who knew how to fix an LG refrigerator.





It appeared to work when he was finished so we signed his acknowledgement that the services were performed to our satisfaction but a few hours later, it stopped working again and the error message came back. I called them and let him know. They came back and while Larry was on the phone with LG's tech support, he was instructed that they would need another part. So, he had to order that part and came back again.





When he came back, he complained to me about how he had difficulty regarding getting his cellphone and car repaired. I told him that I knew how he felt. Refrigerators, cars, and cellphones are not human bodies. They are man made devices which can be built from the ground up if given the proper parts and knowledge concerning how to put them together to make them function together as a complete unit. When I hire a professional, I expect them to have the knowledge regarding how to repair things and the parts to make the repairs possible. If they don't have either, I expect them to have the integrity to either inform me upfront without charging me or giving me a refund for not doing the work I paid them to do.





Allen & Sons came to my house a total of 4 times over the period of a month. The repair man had to call my refrigerator's manufacturer's tech support every time. They took my money without performing the service that they accepted no responsibility. They offered nothing but excuses when I asked them for a refund. They refused to refund me for anything and hung up on me when I asked them for a refund. I paid $400 for nothing! I would not recommend this company to anybody.

Do not use this company unless you like being ripped off.

They charge flat rates so you pay $30 for a part and $140 for labor that takes 10 minutes.

Run the Other Way........Total CROOKS ! Talk about rude and unprofessional. I found them on line - big mistake. My GE Dishwasher needed a repair, the parts were under warranty. The add stated 10% off labor. The Technician quoted a price of $200 and to 10% off for a whopping $180. I gave them a $50 deposit. The parts took two weeks to get. I wrote an email to the service manager "GREG" ( who has no last name) and asked if he could do better on the price. He answered with taking $20 off but wanted me to pay with a credit card the day before the work was done. I called and a man named "Greg no last name" said because "YOU ARE A WHINNER, you most likely will screw us" (I kid you not, his exact words) so you need to pay upfront. Needless to say I canceled the job and they kept $29 and said they would refund the rest. HORRIBLE>>>>HORRIBLE company ! THEY ARE A HORRIBLE FRANCHISE !

Allen + workerd with Sears to repair a frig still under warranty. Sears arranged the appointment and called to let me know that the service guy was on his way. Worked out fine.

Good service. Repaired the water dispenser and changed the filter so that we had a clean system.

Alex. told to call if we had any problems. Looks ilke the dispenser is fine, but I would call with confidence if something went wrong.

really bad service!

I had a tech out to my house 3 times fixing my washer and i am still having the same problem. They wont refund either. I am tired of them so Im calling someone else. Too bad I am out of $300 and the washer still doesnt work. Do not call them, save time and money.

They send out a tech to look at my fridge. The tech was very unprofessional. Didnt even say hi when he came in. Took hime about 15 min to find out what the problem was, the he wrote up a huge estimate, I started askig questions but he didnt want answer any of my questions unless i did the repair... Did not do the repair.

refrigerator repair

I purchased a Fridgidaire refrigerator in 2009 and noticed last week that the fridge was feeling a little warm. The temperature setting was at "factory setting" and I cranked it all the way up to coldest and still not keeping food cold, actually had to throw out some food cuz they spoiled. Contacted the manufacturer and they gave me 3 #s to call, read the reviews, and chose Allen & sons. They were wonderful-they were able to get me a next day appt in the a.m., & the repairman (Ken) showed up, very pleasant and explained the problem, no major repairs or parts needed just adjusted the vents, and was done in no time. And for the service charge it was not bad at all very reasonable. I hope I never have any other problems with this fridge or any other appliances but I know if I do I will be calling and using this business again. THANK YOU THANK YOU !
