St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church began in 1926 in W Asheville, serving its parishioners and visitors faithfully until 2007. A decision was made to expand the church and its facilities, resulting in a new church being built on its new 13-acre site off Smokey Park Highway, less than 10 miles from its original location.
