went for dinner and started off with a few apps,wanted to try a specialty pizza but wasn't offered in the tiny dining room so we went with the "stuffed "artichoke , ginger calamari, and clams org, wow what a disgrace the artichoke was smashed down flat like a pancake and was smothered in some nasty brown unappealing garlic based sauce with some breadcrumbs sprinkled in , the leaves had no meat on what so ever, waitress pick no less,horrible. next the special ginger calamari which was rubbery with very little taste ,the clams were ok but the sauce was way off , the complimentary brusheta was ok now for the 3 mains my buddy had the pasta with broc, rabe and sausage which is almost impossible to screw up so that was ok according to him ,my other friend had veal saltibuco which was smothered in cheese had to take most of it off ,i had the veal piccata , again the sauces were absolutely horrible def, stuff out of the can and the veggies they put as a side for the dish were canned string beans grayish green in color and hungry jack instant mash potatoes most likely just a overall BAD MEAL ,PLUS MY BUDDY WAS ON THE TOILET FOR HOURS...........I hear the pizza is good but won't go in there to try after that horrible experience !

Forte's pizzeria is definitely one of the best around. It's not only a pizzeria it's also a fine restaurant. My favorite is the

buffalo chicken slice. The service is very fast and friendly. My co-workers alway get the grilled chicken with fresh mozz,

roasted peppers and fresh arugula. So if your in the Essex County area don't forget Forte's on Bloomfield avenue.
