If you find yourself in a place where you are considering bankruptcy, I would highly recommend Wendy H. James. Even if you are not sure what to do, a consult with her is far beyond the value of the fee for her friendly, professional and non-judgemental counsel whether you decide to work with her or not. Once I met with her via Zoom, I felt 100% confident in her abilities and especially felt supported in her kindness and how she made such a heavy burden a lighter load. That consult helped me to decide to move forward with it after Covid-19 had taken my income and closed my business after already being on shaky ground. From the beginning when Wendy sent a checklist of the things to gather and forms to fill out, to the final day in court, Wendy was there by my side (virtually) and promptly answered every email, all of my questions and helped me understand so many things that I had no idea how to deal with. She actually made it easy to keep going by simplifying what I had to do and encouraging me all along the way. I could have never done this without her. I printed and placed one of her encouraging emails on my desk where it still resides, it said: "Hang in there, better days are ahead when all of this is cleaned up and you move forward with a fresh start." I sincerely appreciate all that Wendy did to get me through to my discharge. It took a long time to accept that these services were created for people like me who need them.
