Extremely disappointed with new ownership! Without telling me, they farmed out my wheel alignment to a nearby chain store that charges $89.99 for the service, then charged me $160!!

The DOC name used to mean something.

Times have changed. I was quoted $160 for a wheel alignment, which was in line with DOC's premium service and reputation. They said that they'd check the brakes & shocks and have me out the door by Noon. *(Inspections were always complimentary, with the expectation that if they found anything they'd do the work because of their past good reputation.)

Unfortunately, when I called to check at 11:30am when I could expect the car to be ready, the office clerk said that everyone was going on lunch soon & that it would be ready be 2pm. No apology, just ready at 2pm.

When I called after 2pm, I was told that maybe it would be ready in an hour. Finally, got a call at 3:12pm that my car was ready.

When I got there, I said that I was upset that I was told my vehicle would be ready by Noon, and that I had to cancel a meeting due to the lack of follow through. I asked that the service be discounted for the negative impact.

I was told there would be no discount, because they have a deal with the chain store around the corner to do the work for them, since they don't have their own alignment machine!!

Unfortunately, I paid for the reputation & integrity of the old owners, to get the service of a big box low-quality sub-contractor.

After calling the Big Box place around the corner, and confirming they charge 89.99 for alignments, I called DOC back. The owner said they would not take ownership for the shady business practice, and suggested that I paid for the certified tech to inspect my brakes & shocks.

I was quoted $160 for an alignment, I paid $160 for an alignment, and a low-end substitute did the work for DOC.

DOC used to be a real solid local place to get reliable service. Now it's just somebody new living on the reputation of the old guy.

I am the owner of Drain Express LLC. (Plumbing & Drain Cleaning). I will use Doc Automotive for my entire fleet and my personal vehicles. Not only did they fix my last truck, which had a problem passing emmisions, but they suprised me by taking it to the emmisions testing center and getting the test done for me. I was in shock when I arrived to pick up my truck when they showed me the passing emmisions test.
