Of the 10 companies I made calls/emails to (all highly rated with BBB, Troubleshooter, reviews, etc.) to estimate my new roof, 3 responded within 48 hours. Of these 3 quotes for 50 yr class 4, 30lb felt, special vents, JK was the lowest, AND they do solid, clean work. Everyone on my block replaced a roof after the July 09 storm and it was obvious that JK had it together. Highly recommended.And the other post suggests that insurance should not matter in what the quote comes in at. Medical services, auto repair, etc. businesses all operate the same way. It's just the way business is done.

Very difficult to work with. Did not do what I wanted. I would not call them again. I made it very clear I wanted them to look at my roof as if it were theirs, figure out what needed to be fixed, and provide a quote with actual numbers. Instead I got a quote that said the cost depends on what my insurance will pay. So if my insurance pays $500 I get a crappy roof, and if my insurance pays $18,000 they make a boatload of profit? I want my roof fixed right and I want a quote for that. I didn't think it would be this hard. I already have my insurance check, their quote does me no good. I called and they still won't give me any numbers. They want me to call my adjuster back out so they can come up with the price. If this is how they treat you when they are trying to get your business, I can't imagine how they treat you once you've signed their contract.
