Absolutely terrible customer service. Our home warranty company sent them. They were terrible to work with, pricing was ridiculous and when we informed them we would request another vendor from home warranty company, they rudely hung up on us. Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

I read all the bad reviews and was afraid when my warranty co. assigned them to me to repair my AC but I have not a single bad thing to say about them. They were on time, friendly, professional, prompt & understanding. I have used them before for a sump pump issue and had the great same experience. Thanks you for your hard work!

Had leak at main line coming into house. They set appt and showed up on time and gave me estimate. Set repa ur time for next day. Were on time and fixed problem , actually cheaper than thought as leak was easy to locate and repair. Will use again.

I am very impressed by this company. In June my evaporator coil was installed incorrectly by a different company. My home warranty was able to refer my issue to J & S in July when the AC unit began having issues. J&S customer service is AWESOME. Each time I called, some one always picked up the phone, they were knowledgeable and polite. It took about a week for everything to be ordered and scheduled. Michelle the owner is very nice and professional.

I was referred to J and S mechanical by my home warranty company because the first AC company they referred me to still had not contacted me after three days. I went online and looked up reviews for J and S and I read through both the positive and the negative comments. I wasn't sure what level of service to expect but I am so glad I kept the appointment because everything turned out great. They called and gave me my four hour window of when they would arrive, and then they called me 30 minutes before the technicians arrived to tell me they were on the way to my house. As soon as I answered the door they both introduced themselves and and then they went right to work. These two men were extremely polite. They have either had excellent training or their mothers raised them right because they had manners. Neither one of them said "uh-huh" or "yeah," instead they always responded with yes ma'am and no ma'am and thank you. Although the ma'am part wasn't necessary, I truly appreciated how polite and respectful they were. Based on the symptoms my AC unit was giving, they knew exactly what to check first and when they found nothing there amiss, they started looking at the second most likely cause and immediately located the source of the problem. They had my AC unit fixed in no time flat and they adjusted my thermostat to start the cool air coming in. One of the gentleman took time to explain the 30 day warranty in detail and told me who I needed to contact if I discovered further issues within the warranty period. The technicians were not only extremely polite and on time for the appointment, but they were very knowledgeable about the inner workings of an air conditioning unit. Overall it was a great experience and if I need to call my warranty company again for an AC problem I will definitely ask them to assign J & S mechanical to come fix the problem.

I was referred to this company by my home warranty comp.
after reading all the negative reviews I was more than set to be unhappy with this company! However, there is not 1 bad thing I can say. The girls in the office were pleasant and did exactly what they said they would do. The repairman called before arriving, was clean, very nice and respectful of my house. After maybe 15 min. my air conditioner was running!
So happy to be able to post a good review for this company.

J & S Mechanical has been my go-to for the past couple of years. I'm Soo glad that my home warranty company introduced me to them. I trust the service they provide - both in house scheduling/administrative and in the house maintenance and repair. They are always courteous and give me details of what's needed (or not needed). They're currently providing plumbing and heating and cooling maintenance for my rental property. I have and will continue referring them whenever possible. J&S Mechanical, when it comes to maintenance, you put me at ease - thank you.

STAY AWAY!!!!

This company is TERRIBLE!!!! Don't make the same mistake I made and disregard these reviews. We are not making this stuff up.

I rescheduled my appointment for this morning, October 6th. At 10:13 am, I received a phone call stating the technician was on his way to my property. At 11:00 am, still no technician. At 11:09 am, I called the company to see if the technician was still on his way and the lady on the phone said "yes, we still have you on the schedule and it should be later on this morning or this afternoon." I said, "no, no, I just got a phone call from you all around 10:15 this morning that a technician was on his way...so where is he?" She then placed me on hold and, when she got back on the phone, she said he's stuck in traffic and should be here shortly. I asked about how long and she said 20 to 30 minutes.

I then checked the traffic on my phone and saw NO TRAFFIC. At this point, I knew she was lying. But figured I could wait around another 30 minutes as I already took off work for this appointment.

50 MINUTES LATER (so now it's almost noon), I call back and the lady on the phone put me on hold again and, when she came back on, she said the technician was still in traffic and would be another 45 minutes. You have GOT TO BE JOKING!!! How could a technician be 3 hours away from the initial phone call at 10:15?

At this point, I knew she was LYING and had double booked or forgot my appointment altogether and I told her to cancel the appointment. At that point (because the company was probably tired of getting poor reviews) I receive FOUR PHONE CALLS IN A ROW from two different technicians and this dumb idiot at dispatch asking if I still wanted my unit serviced. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?

This company is as rude and unprofessional as they come...lying to its customers and not respecting its customers time. FORGET THIS COMPANY and find another. With all these bad reviews it's only a matter of time before they go out of business.

Amazing customer service on the phone as well as from the two gentlemen who came to my home. I can't express enough how relieved I am to have my air conditioner repaired after several failed attempts from other companies. The office staff was also very pleasant and easy to work with. The time frames are a little long but when I asked alternatives of an hour notice solved the issue.

Our air conditioning went out in mid 90 degree weather and went used our home warranty through First American Home Buyers Protection. J&S Mechanical Contractors and I immediately did an online search and found multiple sites with bad reviews for this company and found a few common issues, one of which was the company claiming they called the customer to set up an appointment and left a message, but the reviewer noting otherwise. BUT, I decided to give them a chance.

On my second call to J&S Mechanical Contractors they claimed to have called me and said they left a voice message, but since I did not answer they now could not fit me in until the following Monday or Tuesday.

This claim of calling me and leaving a voicemail sounded familiar from multiple reviews I had read, so I called First American back and informed them that I would be without air conditioning for at least 5 days due to the availability of the company they chose. They found another contractor who came out the next day.

My 69 year old mother in-law is currently recovering from stage 4 ovarian cancer. Sadly it would appear snake oil sales men saw the perfect con.



She has now been waiting for OVER 5 WEEKS for a new furnace! They showed up on February 15, said the funace had to be ordered. It is now March 21st and they showed up today after many phone calls and follow ups including my MIL calling to let them know that the parts where waiting at 'Will Call" for pick up. Which they actually initially argued with my MIL that they where not in yet.



Upon arriving today after another 30 degree night, in my MIL house, they showed up with a 2 ton furnace, my MIL needed a 5 ton furnace!!!! These people are unbelievable!!! I can't believe they are recommended by First American! A short search turns up over a dozen reviews like this.



Beware these are at best unprofessional morons, at worst con artists, who shouldn't be allowed into peoples homes.

While I was driving today on a road with a 45mph speed limit, one of this companies vans sped around me going about 60 mph and cut me off and then turned into a subdivision. I called this company to let them know and told them "You may want to let your people know that when they drive like a maniac that your phone number is on the back of their truck." Apparently I was speaking with the owner who asked, "Sir, are you experiencing road rage?" Obviously she doesn't know what road rage is and can read up on it below. I did NOT chase the driver down or flip them off or do anything of that sort but I was calling to let her know that HER people were driving crazy. My voice was a little louder than normal because I had just been cut off. She then told me that if I had a complaint about someone driving crazy to call 911. WOW! So you don't care that your people are driving like maniacs? You don't care that they cut someone off the road and could have caused an accident? That's very responsible of you. I wonder if this is your attitude when someone calls about the level of service they receive. So when I called back and found out this lady was the owner, I informed her that I would be going online to complain and she said that she would respond to anything I posted. That's fine. Why don't you go ahead and post those phone calls you told me were recorded so that the public can determine if I was yelling at you or if you just don't care about how your drivers are on the road. Yeah...I'm sure we'll never hear those calls. No wonder they have a one star rating on Yelp where everyone talks about how rude they are.

Home warranty company called this company on my behalf. I talked to the owner and she couldn't get me my charges and once I got them couldn't explain them to me and got frustrated that I was asking questions. I said I would write reviews about their lack of service. In spite of this I agreed to have them do the work. Everyday I talked to them last week and they agreed to com out on Friday and do the install. When you call they would say the next day. Finally today after not having air for 3.5 weeks, she said I hadn't agreed to the charges, I personally spoke to her two times on Thurs. and once on Friday. She knew I had agreed to their charges, but was leading me on. They never planned on installing my new ac. Now, I have to start over with a new company. I think all the one star reviews speak for themselves. This company should not be in business.

I have never been so disgusted...

I have never been so disgusted by a company, or any person for that matter, in my life. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, INDIFFERENT and SHADY are the best adjectives I've got for them. The owner, Michelle, is a liar, conniving, lacks any sort of customer service savvy and most definitely couldn't care less about anything but the excuses she can make up to bide more time. Phone calls are not returned, her explanations and excuses change from phone call to phone call and from person to person.



This was a furnace replacement job in my condo and was the third attempt by this company to do work in my building for multiple units. On all 3 occasions they have failed to provide the required proof of insurance and licensure. First she says it was mailed, then says it was Emailed... than she says it's my buildings fault....and the excuses go on and on, and ultimately nothing gets done. WHY? because SHE DOES NOT CARE. AND most likely does not have the insurance and business license.



It took them 6 days to just place the order for the new equipment I need in order to restore the heat to my condo.



Like the previous reviewer, I was locked in to using this company due to my home warranty. I too would have abandoned doing the job with them if it weren't for this factor.



Do yourself a favor and avoid this integrity lacking company at all costs. I have looked them up on the BBB, and seen other reviews. You will note that the few positive ones that they do have are very short and lack any detail about the experience. The plethora of NEGATIVE ones are extremely detailed and specific. AND BY THE WAY - the positive review below by Michelle is the loser, Michelle who owns this company.



And they are NOT an accredited Better Business Bureau of GA company but they do display the BBB accreditation seal on their website. ANOTHER LIE!

THE WORST!!! I have been without heat on the main floor of my home now for 9 days on the coldest week in over a decade. They come to install my heater and "it isn't the right size". Then they tell me that it isn't their fault because the Home Warranty company ordered it. I told her that since J&S are the ones that came to my house and they are the contractors, they should have specified the needed size. She tells me I don't know what I am talking about, and then that I am being rude (LOL) and I can just "start over" with someone else. Unbelievable!! SO unprofessional. Their technician doesn't specify that a specific size is needed, I wait over a WEEK in the coldest week of the year, and then she wants to blame the person in the office who placed the order.

I can honestly say I have been more than disappointed every time this company comes near my property.

I “HAD” a home warranty company who loves to use J&S. The same company has come to my house each year for 8 years. They continue to not fully research the issue with one of my A/C units and leave without completely checking their work.



Here are a few examples from this year alone:

My AC was working, just had the lines freezing when we placed the thermostat below 72. We would raise it during the day and drop it at night.

1) 1st visit, we were told we were low on coolant, and he filled it up for us. Our AC failed to blow cool air. Had he waited 30 minutes he would have known.

2) Based on our AC not working, he deduced on the second visit that we needed a new thermostat. He replaced it and left. Had he waited 30 minutes he would have known it was not fixed.

3) Visit 3, he came out and checked the coolant, “It appears that I hooked the cables up incorrectly” was his explanation.

4) Visit 4, the same person came out because we had ice on our lines again – like we did when he came out 4 weeks previous. He spent 20 minutes looking at our unit and stated we need to replace the evaporator coil, Freon Dispenser, Coil Dispenser, and PX Modifications. The estimated bill was $750. He said the home warranty company will contact us with our part. In the meantime, he discharged our unit again. That was Tuesday of last week and it is now Monday. We’ve spent the entire week without A/C.



Be smart, know that if you use a home warranty, they can give you a Cash out and you can use your own guy.



I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

HORRIBLE



On 6-14-2013 J & S Mechanical Contractors came to my house via my home warranty company. 2 people came. Even though I spoke to their company directly about the problem - water in my crawlspace spilling out onto my floor from what I believed was a non-working HVAC condensation pump - they were surprised to find water on the floor and a crawlspace full of water and told me no one had told them; The were unhappy when I asked them to remove their wet/muddy shoes to not track water through my house when exiting the crawlspace AND when I was asked where the kitchen was (so that 1 of them could fill a jug of water to test the pump ?) and I told him to go upstairs (where the kitchen was) they both immediately LEFT. After about 30 seconds I followed them outside to overhear them on the phone with their office saying they were leaving because I was "too rude"!??? How exactly is answering the question on the location of my kitchen TOO RUDE?



Neither of them responded to me when I asked them what was going on. Then they drove away.
