Got a everything you need, and the proprietor does great tattoos. Calm and easy to deal with.
Overall it's a wonderful experience every time I've ever been in the shop.

This is a very nice shop, with an incredibly wide selection of hard to find merchandise. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and willing to go that extra step for their customers. Did I mention the tattoos?
Anyone in the market for a tattoo should really consider Strange brew, Both artists are amazingly tallented, the equipment is always fresh and sterile, and the experience is relaxed and personal. They don't 'pump out' tattoos like some of those other places. These are quality works of art that are well worth the very reasonable price.

Great atmosphere and great art! Gotten worked on by both Chimene and Cat, wouldn't go anywhere else- they've even fixed a few old ones. Having an appointment means you don't have to sit for hours or be surrounded by teens hanging out, love that they play soothing music too- it makes you feel like your comfort matters. Both girls have art degrees and make every effort to make sure that you get the design you want, that it's about you. I've been in places where the artist is rude or are more interested in doing their own style than trying to give you what is in your mind, or just want to pump out as many designs as they can in a night. The shop is on facebook, so you can check out the artwork there. The place is quaint, comfortable and CLEAN! I happened to be in the shop last week when the health inspector came in- he literally stood there and said- "Yup, the place looks nice and clean just like it always does." Then Chimene spent some time showing the guy some new changes they made. I thought the place was clean whenever I got ink there, but it sure didn't hurt to hear that kind of confirmation.
I love shopping there too. Herbs, top quality oils, and really funky stuff from around the world and different religions. I love the jewelry, especially the local artist stuff- I really dig having one of a kind things and getting my nag champa incense fix too! Lets see- also stones, books, knives, statues, tarot cards... the place is packed, it's like a treasure hunt! Like I said, one of my favorite places- it's worth checking out.

Being clean is the first thing I look for in a tattoo parlor. Strange Brew is all and more when it comes to cleanliness.
The second thing I look for is talent! Both of the tattoo artists are awesome. I've only been tattooed by Chimene. But I have seen many pieces done by Cat as well. Both are stellar artists. Chimene did a tattoo for my husband on his back.. his battle buddy drew it while they were in Iraq. Chimene was able to replicate the tattoo perfectly. It looked exactly like the drawing. She did a coverup for me. My ex husband's name. THANK YOU! and you can't even tell that his name was there!

GREAT SHOP! aside from the tattoos, they also have merchandise that can't be found in many places around here. :)

I love this store! Where else can you get loose dried herbs, essential oils, tumbled gemstones, books, candles and more. Well worth the drive for my every visit.

Unprofessional looking. Portfolio was just a series of blurry pictures in a photo album. Tattoo area was really just a chair in the corner of a poorly lit room. The tattoo artist I would say isn't an artist at all, only knows how to use the machine and trace images. For someone who went to school for art they don't know anything about presentation. Would not go back.

Just to save you a trip. I went all the way out there without calling, they don't have a piercer anymore.

My son and I have been customers of Strange Brew for the past 3 years or so and I can't say enough good things about this unique store and tattoo shop. I have purchased beautiful handmade jewelry there at very reasonable prices, and they also have a great selection of crystal stones, incense and books among many other unique gift ideas. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and always happy to help you. I also have had 2 tattoos done there and I am so impressed by the professional detail and color, and so many people have complimented me on how really artistically wonderful they turned out, exactly as I pictured them to be. I am so delighted that I got my tattoos done there and also was able to schedule an appointment without much delay at all! My experience and my son's as well have been very positive and we highly recommend you stop by and see them and all the amazing things they have to offer!

When I first decided to get a tattoo I went to a few shops to see what I was getting myself into. One place I checked out seemed cliquey and I was uncomfortable, one was way overpriced, and another looked dirty. Once word got out that I was interested a few different people I know all had the same recommendation - Strange Brew! Chimene is an amazing artist. Her shop is clean. She allows enough time for each appointment. I have never felt rushed. She has a lot of books if you are not sure you know what you want, but will custom design for you if you have an idea in your head. Strange Brew is also a store, so you can just walk in at anytime to look around and see her artwork without feeling out of place. Very casual feeling. Each time I've gone, she has made sure the design I wanted was perfect before she began. I have been to her 3 times now and will not go anywhere else. I highly recommend!

I have gotten 3 amazing tattoos from a wonderful artist, as well as numerous oils, books, incense, and jewelry from Strange Brew over the years. No other place in WNY comes close to the variety and selection of pagan goods.

We have been friends of Strange Brew for the past 7 years, and wouldn't think of going anywhere else for our tattoos, herbs and curious goods. The store is amazing as are Chimene and Cat! They make you feel welcome and at ease and part of the 'family'! Their artistry surpasses any I've seen in Buffalo, and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my skin! Thanks Strange Brew crew.......keep up the great work......we'll be back for more in February!

This is hands down the finest apothecary in western New York. A wide selection of herbs, and an eclectic selection of curios. I have seen Chimene's tattoo work in person, and she is a talented artist. I would ( and have ) recommend this shop to anyone interested in such services. Blessed Be. Shaman >: )
