Very disappointing experience. After consciously choosing to go to Wheatberry, we spent almost $100 for Mother's Day dinner. We called ahead to hear specials. Yet, upon arrival 30 min later food specials were totally out,& had been. No addtl comparable specials were offered as a substitute. Basic beef BBQ items were also N/A. We asked to purchase adtl cornbread, which we enjoyed & we were told due to limited qty of the bread they were closely monitoring & conserving it & wouldn't allow us to purchase any. Children's M&C tasted horrible, had to order chicken strips to replace it so our child wld eat, we were still charged for both items. There were cobwebs on the ceiling/pipes right above our table. We encountered bugs in the women's bathroom. We called back to speak to a mgr. She took our info without really any feedback, other than they were just busy & that was supposed to explain & justify our experience. We talked abt the special incident. She said the waiters had been instructed to tell patrons, IF THEY ASKED FOR THE SPECIAL, that they could select a meat, 2 sides, dessert, etc, we asked & were not told abt thesubstitute special at the special price. Therefore paid full price for items ala carte. We asked to speak to 1 of the 4 or 5 owners. None were available. Left message. No return call. I did this off & on from every 3-4 days from Mother's Day to date, to no avail. We STILL have not had an opportunity to speak to an owner abt our horrible experience. It's inexcusable that there has been No interest shown on their part to address a paying customer's legitamate concern. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. I believe the quality of the food is possibly there, however there are way too many all around quality area restaurants that want & appreciate your business, that treat you with tespect. If I ever hear from the owners I will update this review. God bless you all.

I had redbud BBQ chicken salad, yum. My husband had BBQ beef platter which he enjoyed. We'll go back.
