Delaware County Intermediate Unit is a regional education services agency. The agency serves approximately 92,000 school-aged students and more than 6,000 educators. It provides direct instruction to over 15,000 students enrolled through special and career and technical education programs. Delaware County Intermediate Unit, established in 1970, offers special and technical education services through more than 60 programs. It provides access to PowerMedia Library, a digital delivery system that aligns Pennsylvania's academic standards with video, concept clips, audio files and print resources. Delaware County Intermediate Unit offers technical support and training for staff members on education issues, such as classroom management, inclusion, school-wide behavioral approach, Pennsylvania academic standards and data analysis.
