07/2008----DON'T BUY FROM NEW FELDMAN FURNITURE----WORST FURNITURE BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER !!!

First of all, I want everyone to know that NEW FELDMAN FURNITURE and FELDMAN FURNITURE are two separate entities... My purchase was with NEW FELDMAN FURNITURE... I first purchased furniture (leather living room sectional/wall unit/sitting chair) in 4/2007 and i explained to them that we were doing home construction and we weren't going to need the furniture until the following month (May 07). With that said, when we called a little later to set up delivery, the stores phone number was disconnected. We then called the salesmans cell phone and he would not answer nor would he respond to messages left. It wasn't until we found amongst the sales receipts a calender with the Brooklyn stores phone number. When we called, they were rude and obnoxious and we were put on hold for several minutes. We set up delivery and waited an addition week. When it arrived, the arm chair was damaged in 3 areas, the wall unit was scratched so bad in several areas that I wouldn't let them deliver it.. The delivery guys basically tried to muscle me into taking the wall unit--which i stuck to my ground and flatly refused... The only reason we accepted the arm chair is because we were sidetracked with the arguments that we didn't see the damage. The delivery drive called the store and ranted something in Russian/Polish and he then hands me the phone and the salesman (IGOR) assures me that they will replace the wall unit the following week... When we noticed the damaged arm chair, we reported it and he (IGOR) said that he would replace that item also. A week later, no wall unit, no chair, no call no show no nothing. I called and was rudely told that we would have to wait until the following week. Following week, no wall unit, no chair, no call no show no nothing... Called and said it would be there next week between 5-8pm. Next week--no wall unit, no chair, no call no show no nothing. Called and was again rudely talked to and told to be patient--DO NOT DEAL WITH NEW FELDMAN !



Pros: furniture is of great quality..



Cons: Good luck when getting delivery or returning anything damaged....

BLOOD-BOILING EXPERIENCE

Thought we'd found good deal until delays and obnoxious manager soured experience. After piece arrived damaged from manufacturer, had to constantly play phone tag with salesman for new ETA. Nearly a month after original delivery date with a series of broken promises and unreturned phone calls, we became fed up enough to cancel order. The cartoonishly rude and arrogant manager said that if we canceled they would charge 25% restocking fee and to essentially take it or leave it. Promised delivery 2 days later between 12:00-5:00. Waited all day until 7:00 and called only to have manager lie, make excuses and tersely say, Ill tell you one thing be patient, stay at home and wait! and hang up on us. Piece finally arrives at 9:00 not the one we ordered. Absolute money-grubbing, we have your cash so too bad attitude. Money saved doesnt make up for the aggravation.



Pros: cheapish



Cons: , irresponsible, shoddy service



DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THESE PEOPLE---I tried in vain on 5-6 different occasions to get my furniture and still haven't received it. My latest phone call resulted in the salesman HANGING UP on my after telling me that he 'wasn't going to lose money' on this deal and to 'be patient'....
