I have no idea how this place is still in business. I only started calling them because I was told from another unit owner that the floors came from this place. In an attempt to replace some damaged floorboards (due to the previous owner not because of quality of material), I started calling this place. Over the last 2 months, I have showed up at the store and have called over a dozen times. It's usually the same issue: the guy who lives upstairs from the place is "covering" the store for the owner. The guy was not taught anything about wood so all he can do is take your name and number (which is essentially what the voicemail does so I don't understand why the guy is there). That wouldn't be too big of a deal except for the fact that they NEVER return your calls. I had to keep calling and finally get in touch with the daughter. They offered to do a free inspection of the boards but I had to cancel due to a higher priority item that came up. Bad mistake. Now I'm back to trying to get in touch with them which seems impossible. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you do take a quick look through the store, you'll see they are overpriced on their products anyway. Once I get the model number of these boards, I'll buy from someone else. Even they neighbor who covers admitted the store probably won't be able to beat the prices of the bigger stores.

DO NOT use this company. They sub contract their work. I had hardwood floors installed by them which are awful. The floor boards are damaged and cracked, it looks like the wood is delaminating although these are solid hardwood floors. They admitted that the installer used the wrong side of the hammer so where the boards are nailed in the wood protrudes. Approximately 30% of all the floor boards are damaged. They are refusing to install new floors and want to sand and use wood filler to fix all the problems. I am stuck in a brand new house with floors that look worse than the 100 year old house I used to live in. No one from McGovern's wants to take responsibility for the poor quality of the floor. They are blaming the installer and the manufacturer. I would NEVER recommend using them. I thought I was supporting a local business but they have no loyalty to their clients. Do yourself a favor and use a different company.

They installed carpet throughout my refinished basement and it's fabulous! All of my friends have complimented me on it. I would definitely use them for my flooring needs in the future!
