Founded in 1987, the Mercy Learning Center offers a range of educational opportunities to low-income women in Greater Bridgeport in Connecticut. Also known as MLC, the center provides financial literacy and life skills development classes. It administers the English as a Second Language program. The Mercy Learning Center maintains a computer laboratory and pantry, as well as offers vocational counseling solutions. The center provides housekeeping, social and educational child care services. It also conducts the National External Diploma Program. The Mercy Learning Center offers sessions on topics related to gardening, employment, college preparation, parenting and family life, immigration and cultural issues.
