Career Resources, founded in 1995, is a nonprofit workforce development organization that prepares youths and adults to gain employment and progress in their careers in southwestern Connecticut. The organization provides planning and staffing resources to the business community. It also offers skills and support necessary for personal development, economic self-sufficiency and career advancement. Career Resources manages the Fathers for Life program, which emphasis on emotional and financial support by promoting positive parenting and healthy relationships. In addition, the organization provides income tax preparation and filing services. It offers counseling and educational services for women and girls through the STARS program.
