Pilgrim Psychiatric Center provides individualized psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation services that promote recovery out of West Brentwood, N.Y. Services provided by the center include inpatient and outpatient psychiatric, residential and related services in such areas as family support, substance abuse and geriatric cognitive and pyschosocial treatments. The center includes approximately 700 inpatient beds and six outpatient centers throughout Nassau and Suffolk County. There are 28 inpatient wards, six geriatric wards and 20 psychiatric rehabilitation wards which include three behavioral treatment wards within the system. Pilgrim Psychiatric Center is affiliated with The Office of Mental Health . The Office operates psychiatric centers across the state, and also regulates, certifies and oversees more than 2,500 programs in such areas as emergency, community support and family care.
