I have eaten at the other Carolina Kitchen locations and found the food great. However, Sunday Jan. 29th having waited in a long line from the door at the newest location in Brandywine, Md. I found the food to be lacking in the same taste, quantity and quality as the other locations. I ordered jerk chicken and rice and had to add rice once home because of the small quantity. The greens had what appeared to be the bones only from neck bone used as the seasoning and my half filled container of peach cobbler was mostly burnt crust (actually black). I was really excited about them coming to Brandywine, since I live in Waldorf.
However, I think I'll continue to patronize one of the other locations in Largo or Hyattsville. By the way some of the items on the menu board were not yet available. Explanation by staffer:

I know that the food will be wonderful, like all the other Carolina Kitchens.
This Carolina Kitchen in Brandywine will open next Thursday, January 25th
at 5pm, and I can't wait!
