The staff at Bradenton Emergency was both sympathetic and professional in my time of need with my little guy. I was devastated with the terminal diagnosis given and the staff was there not only for my 4 legged companion but for me as well. They were kind and helped me with getting treatments as needed and when I lost my dear friend you could not have asked nor could you ever find better people to help with arrangements. Thank you

I have literally spent thousands at Desoto Animal Clinic: however the after hours is horrid. I foster kittens for Pasco Animal Services and my son ran outside screaming that 1 was falling over. Of course we jumped in the car (my son without shoes) and we went here. The receptionist was extremely cold and patronizing. I only had $100 in my pocket. They took him back and treated him and then presented me a $600 bill. I explained I was only the foster mom and I didn't have the $ but said I would work it out with Pasco. The receptionist was so ugly and demanded I sign over the kitten or they would cease treatment. I explained that he legally belonged to Pasco but she again demanded it so I did for his sake. The next day they refused to give me any information about where he was. Come to find out...he is at Manatee Animal Services alone in a cage away from his litter mates and surrounded by barking dogs. I even offered to pay the $600 but they refuse. Yeah, so much better than him being loved at home in a clean safe environment. I'm the good guy who fosters and I was treated like a 3rd class citizen. Horrendous. Do not go here.

Absolute wonderful staff that TRULY cares. Called them around midnight, with a dog that I found. I called about 8 places, and no one would assist me. This is the only place that helped! They took the dog in, gave him a bath, and removed a bunch of painful "prickers" from his face (and this is not part of their job!). They were absolutely amazing and I am forever grateful that they helped the little guy. He was taken to a local shelter that houses 'found' pets. He got a bath and a warm place to sleep for the night. THANK YOU GIRLS! Absolutely wonderful. :)

Unfortunately we have several cases like yours. We try very hard to offer options, but if you do not have the money up front, are declined for Care Credit, and are declined or not a candidate for the nonprofit organization that we work with, we do not have many other options. In your case, your pet was treatable and instead of offering euthanasia for a fixable problem, you were presented with the option to sign your pet over. Your pet was then treated and re-homed. This is not an option for everyone in your situation, so your situation was unique and luckily had a good outcome for your pet. We were lucky that you were willing to give your pet a chance and sign it over so that it could have a happy life. You were given the option to sign over your pet and you chose that option. We try so very hard to help every pet that comes into our doors but we can't treat them all for free. If we did, we would go out of business and would not be able to help any one. We are reliant on clients paying their bills in order to stay open. As of now we take the following forms of payment: 1. Cash 2. Any major credit card (Visa, Discover, Mastercard, American Express, etc) 3. Care Credit (this can be applied for at home or in our office) - this is a 0% interest for 1 year credit card Unfortunately we do not offer payment plans right now because we are still waiting for people to pay on their plans. The majority don't pay and get sent to collections which makes it unfair to those people that would pay. I am very sorry that you felt that you had to give your pet up, that is never our goal. We were giving you a way to help your pet even though you did not have the finances at this time and were declined for all of the options we do offer.
