My wife had a nail in her SUV tire that is clearly visible in the tread pattern, about 1.75" from the sidewall. I suggested that she take the car to Firestone to have the tire patched--I also warned her that no matter what they would try to sell her either one or more tires because that's the way Firestone and Goodyear operate in Boynton Beach (personal experience). She took the car in, requested a patch, and left the car to go shopping within walking distance.



Sure enough...It took an hour for someone to call her and report that the tire was "un-patchable" because "the nail was in the sidewall"--they indicated that a new tire was needed. I know for a fact that that is complete B.S. If I have of taken the car in I don't believe they would have tried this stunt with me. When I have time I'll do the job myself. In the meantime the FlatFix is in there and working ok...



If you are a woman I would recommend that you avoid this place like the plague...Men, do realize that this shop is comprised of complete douchers...
