I had a tooth that was extremly painful and getting worse I was taking approximatley 15-20 Ibprouphins a day or pain. Finally I had to go to a dentist, but with no insurance I was afraid of the cost. So I went to 2 dentist both said it was the 31 tooth and would cost over $400. Well I cant afford that. So then I heard of Dr. Short from my small town of Boyd, so I call to ask prices the lady was extremly nice and helpful, she said an extraction is $90-$150 no consultaion fee and xrays were $14 that is seriously reasonable. Well I get there and it is a cozy place very nice & comfortable. Everyone was So extremely helpful and nice, like family. The dentist came back and shook my hand and introduced himself he was such a nice guy Not like other dentist, he saw me as a person with a tooth ache not as a job. It was great. Then I told him what the other dentist had said and told him I just wanted number 31 pulled. He said okay tell me alittle bit about it, so I did then he said I believe you, but is it okay that I do alittle looking first..just to be sure? I was like please do, I dont want you to pull the wrong tooth lol. So he took an x-ray and looked at that and we had a good conversation while we waited for the x-rays to come back, then he went and looked at them, and said well I dont see anything wrong with number 31 but the wisdom tooth behind looks like it could be troublesome do you mind if I do some testing? I was thinking what else is there to do? Then he does this bite test and ice test and nither one hurt the tooth the other dentist said I needed an expensive root canal on, but man oh man they hurt that wisdom tooth. So he said well I think it is that wisdom tooth, and I said well after those test I do to. So I said will you pull it? And I figured in my head..this is going to be more expensive!! Well he puts a q-tip of some orajel stuff to numb the spot in which he was going to give me the shots which I thought was really great. Then he gave me 2 differnt types of shots and said well relax and I will be back the Dentist Assistant stayed and chatted with me which was nice so I wasnt alone or bored. Then he came back and said okay I am going to do some poke test to see if your numb He explained everything he was going to do in detail, before he did it and I liked that. He made me a part of my own treatment. So he did the poke test and they didnt hurt just pressure, so he said okay I am going to get a grip on it, but I am not going to pull it I am just going to get a grip then he did and it hurt alittle bit and I told him so he gave me more anistics and we waited longer, then he got a grip on it again and it was fine, so then he started to take it out and a few minutes later it was out. Then he made sure I was fine and then proceeded to tell me how I need to take care of it and what to expect. So I was well informed. Then I went to check out and to my suprise it was only $104.00 I was amazing. ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK GOD FOR DR. SHORT, BECAUSE I AM PAIN FREE AND MY SON CAN STILL HAVE CHRISTMAS. I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO DRIVE EVEN 50 MILES TO SEE HIM, I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER DENTIST, AND HE SEES CHILDREN ALSO SO MY SON WILL BE USING HIM. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS, Natasha
