We are Tavern at Bown, located in beautiful Boise, Idaho. We pride ourselves on customer service & an exciting dining experience that cannot be matched in our city. The Tavern at Bown Crossing is a unique dining experience offering sushi, USDA prime grade steaks, daily seafood specials, burgers, sandwiches and salads. There is a full bar with an extensive wine list, great classic cocktails, sake and draught beers. Happy Hour is available Mon.-Sat. Brunch is served on Sundays from an ala carte menu from 9:30-3 p.m. Our tables range from higher tables in the bar area with a more energetic atmosphere, or booths or a quieter area with lower tables. They will do vegan/vegetarian but you have to ask. They will make substitutions. Only issue is they are pricey. But atmosphere is great and fun.

Snobbish

Unwilling to accommodate a larger group and not friendly toward the community as a whole. Our group showed up on a Saturday afternoon about 4:00 there was only one other patron in the entire establishment and they said they wouldn't serve us. Not sure why? Our group was on a bicycle ride in celebration of a birthday enjoying a nice summer day. The group consists of nurses, technicians, engineers, machinist, dental professionals, business professionals,etc. staple members of our community. After talking to the manager he agreed to serve us but the wait staff acted like we weren't good enough for the place and basically let us stay long enough to make us feel really unwelcome. Nothing is more of a turn off than someone (a waitress, and bartender) looking down there nose at you. We are so sorry Bown Crossing Tavern for inconveniencing you!

Great Place!

The food and service are consistently great. Fun atmosphere in wonderful Bown Crossing. Highly recommend.

So Disappointing

I've eaten here twice.###The first time was OK but the second time was terrible.###Food was tasteless and overcooked.###I have had better service at Denny's.###The thing that was very disturbing was all the flies!###I made my complaint in detail at their Web site but they never responded so be prepared to have an inconsistent dining experience.###I doubt I will ever go back.

Food doesn't get much better than this!

Phenomenal steak and the sweet potatoes are to die for! A little on the spendy side but worth it.
