We are two women who have been building and testing Slow Feeders for our horses for a few years now.  We had to find something that would be safe for both barefoot and shod horses, that would not break after a month or after a year and that was easy and practical to use.  After lots of different types of Slow Feeders, we finally came up with something that works and will last!  You can see our old, tested slow feeders on our website and why they did not work out.
