LOVE THIS LITTLE PLACE - CONSISTENLY AMAZING FOOD! I really love this little restaurant. The only reasons that I docked them a star is (a) because it's so tiny inside that they have to have the smallest little chairs and tables and the chairs are like little kid's chairs so it's not very comfortable to sit (although I don't mind that they are so small - I think it adds to the quaint character ... I tend to enjoy boutique businesses because of the attention to detail and personalized service) - and - (b) because it's cash only. I understand that credit card fees are expensive but it's hard because every time I want to go there I realize I don't have any cash, so they don't make it very easy or convenient to do business with them that way. Otherwise, it's cute and quaint and the food is absolutely phenomenal. It is consistently great no matter what you order. I've never had a bad dish or glass or bowl of anything here. It's ALWAYS amazing. The raspberry iced tea-lemonade combo is delish & refreshing and the banana cake is to die for. Actually all of their desserts are to die for. Everything is made fresh from the freshest ingredients. I really don't know where of how they get everything so fresh. They also have the best specials like meatloaf and quiche - stuff you just don't get anywhere else. Each dish is so full of flavor, presented nicely and is the perfect size. The soups are also just perfect and again just bursting with freshness and flavor. I feel like I am in my grandma's garden room and she just made me some of her amazing fresh dishes with veggies, fruits and spices from her garden whenever I go there. The owners are also really great - 2 men who are always friendly and working hard. I think they have been around for like 20 years, maybe longer, so they are definitely doing something right! And they are also always crowded, so that also speaks to the quality of the food. I do wish that they were open for breakfast or at least brunch ... and for dinner ... and on the weekends :)! I would go much more frequently if they were open more often and if they took credit cards. I still try to go as often as I am able whenever I am in the downtown Boca Raton area. If you haven't been to the Tin Muffin, make it a point to go - it's a real treat! Just don't forget your cash. Also, when you look at the menu they may seem a little pricey for what you're getting, but once you taste your apps, meals and muffins or desserts, you will know that it's worth every penny. And don't let your visit fall on a diet day because you simply have to get one of their decadent desserts too. TIN MUFFIN IS A DEFINITE GO!
