I am married to a Filipina who can really cook and been to many restaurants in the NY/NJ area. This is one of the best. Small but personable and authentic Filipino. cuisine.

Always searching for out of the ordinary food establishments, Pandan came as a big surprise. Owned by a Filipino family, we were expecting a fast food, ready-to-eat restaurant type. We were delighted to see a sit-down restaurant that offered a fine dining experience. The food selection were carefully selected from different origins, primarily from the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia. Service was wonderful, something that you can expect from a family-run establishment. The servers were courteous and ready to please. They're always on their toes, anticipating your every need. We tried everything from the Bangus (Milk fish) to Sambal and their vegetable Lumpia. Presentation was creative, if you're in that sort of thing. The food tasted wonderfully. The fish was cooked perfectly and didn't leave any after-taste. I must admit that I'm not a fish person. Sambal was not as spicy as I expected but nevertheless, tasted very good. It's hard to find a good Asian fusion restaurant.
