We began using The Spicer Law Firm several years ago for our real estate transactions. The firm was recommended to us by our longtime family attorney, who was also an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney. In telling us about the firm, our family attorney said that he and his wife (another attorney) used The Spicer Law Firm themselves for all of their own real estate transactions. Since then, on our real estate transactions, we have found that John Spicer is indeed a strong, knowledgeable, savvy, and truly gifted advocate and problem-solver.

Kris Olin helped us set up our business, wrote all the necessary legal documents for our business including the terms and services for our website and helped us with a copyright infringement issue we had with another business. He's professional, personable, honest and unlike the stereotypes of many lawyers, made the business side of things a lot of fun. Anything within the contracts and other documents that we didn't understand, he patiently went over with us until we felt 100% comfortable with it. I highly recommend him to all my friends and family!

Wish I had read the previous reviewer's comments (on Google) before signing up for Mr. Spicer to handle my real estate contract and closing. It took a bit of pestering before my contract was prepared and I felt like I was being the pest. No apologies were made for the delay. We're still rushing to close, and I was told today by a fellow attorney at the firm that they're busy with other clients and therefore can't get back to the lender with their review of the risks to them for certifying some of the bank's requirements. To be sure, this is a more complex closing because of the status of the house, but the lender's been trying to contact them since yesterday morning. For some reason, they can't call the lender back, and we had to schedule a call with Mr. Spicer two working days later just to get him to review and the law firm knows seller is antsy and we've blown past the closing date (mostly because of the lender). I get it -- lawyers are busy. Who isn't? They certainly give me the impression they're too busy to warrant taking on my case. They probably think I'm unreasonable and behave like it. I think they're slow.
