Our 5 year old is in her second year at Dance.tech. WE LOVE IT!!! She takes ballet, tap, jazz and gymnastics. She looks forward everyday to dance class and is usually a terror on days she doesn't dance. She always says dancing makes her heart do a happy dance. So glad we found this studio!!! And we cant say enough about the faculty. Very talented and dedicated staff!!

This place is awful. Instead of making sure the kids have fun, they focus too much on competition. For instance, when my daughter was 5 at her recital they removed her in mid-song because she was waving at her family instead of dancing. In my opinion - so what. These are little kids on a big stage and as much as we pay for costumes, tickets, lessons, and yearbooks if she wanted to stand there and be adorable for 3 minutes I feel we could have been given that. We are now a gymnastics family and are proud to say that Virginia Techniques keeps it about the KIDS and FUN

I doubt very seriously the above happened. My daughter has been at Dancetech for 2 years now and I've attended the recitals both years. I have witnessed numerous kids get stage fright and stop doing the steps. Never have i seen anyone come on stage to get them.

We have had a horrible experience with Dance.tech. In addition to other incremental problems we have had with the staff and instructors, the final straw would be the recital she just performed in. I paid tuition all year for my daughter, bought her dance costumes, bought several copies of the recital program, bought a full-page ad congratulating my daughter, and they even charge you for admission to your own child's recital and then they pulled her off stage during the performance because she was not doing the steps! In my opinion, let her stand there. It's her 3 minutes of fame and she was grabbed by the arm and pulled off stage. I am beyond disgusted. This isn't about perfection - where's the fun?
