Established in 1976, Pride is a nonprofit organization that provides residential and employment services to more than 330 individuals who suffer from mental illnesses, developmental and physical disabilities, and alcohol and drug addiction. It offers training for life skills development, decision making, socialization and interpersonal communication. Pride also provides training for work skills development, such as dependability, problem solving, task management and safety through contracts from local businesses for light assembly, packaging and mailing works. It offers residential services for men, women and children with emotional and mental disturbances. The organization additionally provides in-home care that includes transportation, companionship, meal preparation, and money and personal management services. Pride maintains one of its facilities in Bismarck, N.D.
