St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Chapel, a mission of St. Pauls Cathedral Parish, serves as the Catholic campus ministry center for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Samford University, and Birmingham-Southern College. But we welcome anyone open to growing, healing, serving, loving, and learning from the heart of our Savior. We foster community and peace in a multicultural, inviting atmosphere. Whether you are a grad student or a new freshmen, a faculty member or a campus family, come as you are! We encourage each other in our roles as Catholic Christians in contemporary society and seek to grow as young adults into happy marriages, fulfilling vocations and callings, meaningful work, and heavenly virtues. We do this through sacramental ministry, faith-formation events, Bible studies, volunteer opportunities, and fun activities. We also partner with the Catholic Student Associations on the campuses at Samford University and Birmingham-Southern College to host intimate weekly Holy Masses and opportunities for the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Holy Mass celebrated on Sundays at 10am with the Sacrament of Reconciliation 9am until 9:55am; 5pm with Holy Hour of Adoration and Sacrament of Reconciliation 3:45 to 4:45. Student Meal and activity on Sunday evenings following Holy Mass. Holy Mass celebrated on Wednesday at 6pm with Sacrament of reconciliation 5pm until 5:55pm; Student meal following Holy Mass; Holy Hour of Adoration 8:15 until 9:15. Holy Mass celebrated on Saturday at 9am followed by Holy Rosary and Benediction. Holy Mass celebrated on Tuesday at Samford University at 10am followed by lunch. Holy Mass celebrated on Thursday at Birmingham Southern College at noon followed by lunch.
