The pets wait for their fur ever families to find them in clean, comfortable kennels that resemble a showroom. It is never dirty, it smells clean, and the volunteers (& employees?) are clearly dedicated to being sure the pets are compatible with their potential adoptive family (while not being snarky and elitist like certain groups are).

They are amazing people. To take care of these animals day in and day out you have to have love for them, and these people do. They go to great lengths to make sure that every animal there has a fair chance at adoption. If you have to give an animal up for adoption then you should definitely contact the GBHS and give your animal a chance. They give the animal plenty of time to find a home. It's better than Euthanization.
