Wouldn't go back. Luckily we had a groupon and only spent a few dollars. My wife got the steak which she liked and the potatoes weren't bad but that's about it. We had a reservation for 8:45 on Friday night thinking the place would be pretty full. We got there and it was almost empty. It took forever for my wife to get her drink and when we reminded our waitress, she informed us that was not her job but that she would do it anyway. I got the crab cakes which didn't taste all that great... They may have been overlooked, but the rice and cabbage I ordered as a side was tasty.



Overall I think if this place had better service it has potential to be a much better restaurant . Until then, the prices on the menue are simply not reflected in the level of service desired.

This restaurant has a very warm and inviting atmosphere that has a touch of France. The evening that I had dinner was great, I ordered chicken scallopini with braised cabbage and red wine. The taste and flavor of the food was absolutely mouth watering. The entire staff was very polite and attentive to every detail of my visit. If you are looking for a great place to dine with added flavor of French cuisine Cafe' De Paris is definitely the restaurant you want to visit..

Arrived at 8pm it took over 20 min to receive our drink order after finally getting waited on. Restaurant was only maybe 1/4 full. Received appetizers 45 min later with menus still on table and entree order not taken. One of our party received her appetizer 20 min after the rest of us. At 10pm we questioned where are entrees were and someone came to our table apologized and offered us a glass of wine on the house. FINALLY received our entrees about 10:30pm of which 2 of the 4 entrees were over cooked. We spent well over $200 and it was the worst dining experience we've ever had in Birmingham. They then added an 18% tip for this deplorable experience. Will not recommend or return.
