I was scheduled for a new patient and arrived 4 minutes late after their 10 minute cut off ( if you are more than 10 minutes late , you must reschedule ). I was told after driving 50 minutes one way that I would have to reschedule . I spoke with Jan in HR who was no more helpful and lacking in any compassion. She went on to tell me they had another new patient today who had not completed her REQUIRED paper work before her appointment and they had to assist with this. I had my paper work complete (which took about 40 minutes to do ) ready and complete when I arrived. Yet 4 minutes beyond their 10 minute window was told I would need to reschedule. Patients who are needing a pain specialist need compassion in a big way. So if looking for compassion and think you might be 10 minutes late , skip this group of uncaring administration

After calling and verifying my appointment on my 2 hr drive to the clinic I arrived and was then told my apt was a different time and I was too late to be seen, or could wait until end of day (3 hours) to try and be seen. After I confirmed who I spoke to, (even showed them my iphone showing date/time/length) I was told "that person works in another building" and after 10 excuses I finally gave up after being told by office supervisor there is "nothing she can do about it" before I left I was also told (no prior mention of it) that I owed over a $1000 from one prior visit. Do you homework before choosing this VERY unprofessional clinic... And consult with them before your appointment on what items they proceed with that are NOT covered by insurance.

Dr. Thomas and Alabama Pain Physicians took the time to find out why I am in pain. Other doctors just prescribed medicine. I am very satisfied with my treatment.
