James Stegman has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of the practice of law. He has a general practice. Mostly he is involved in matters in court. The areas of practice include: contracts, insurance, personal injuries, the purchase and sale of property and businesses, family matters including divorce and post judgment issues such as child support, custody and visitation. He also is experienced in workers' compensation, automobile claims, and other personal injury and property damage claims. His primary focus is to find a solution for his clients as quickly and simply as possible. Often a telephone call or letter is sufficient to resolve a problem. However, if this does not work then a lawsuit may be filed and he is prepared to fully and aggressively represent his clients before the courts. He has experience at all levels of Michigan courts including successful decisions for his clients before Michigan District and Circuit Courts, the Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court.
