I contacted this business to have them replace the plastic base of my laptop. There were no other issues with my computer when I dropped it off for repair. I would NOT recommend this company and here is why:



1) When I didn't hear back after a week (on a job that I was told would be done in 2-3 days), I called PC-Solutions and learned that they had LOST MY CONTACT INFORMATION.



2) The owner/tech told me that he had Googled how to replace the laptop's base the day before (after having the laptop for a WEEK). He decided that he didn't feel comfortable repairing it (he said that it 'SCARED' HIM!). The good news, he said, was that I didn't owe him anything.



3) The owner/tech LIED. He said that he did not attempt to remove the base, but I could tell that he did, because it was slightly misaligned when I had dropped it off, but it was properly aligned when I picked it up. The base was not loose when I dropped it off--this change could only have happened if it was removed and put back on.



4) When I brought my laptop home and tried to turn it on, it WOULD NOT POWER UP. When I called PC-Solutions to ask about it, the owner/tech said that it worked just fine for him when he had it and that he had no idea what could be wrong. This was ANOTHER LIE. First of all, he would have needed my password to access my laptop and know if it was working properly or not. I never gave him my password because the issue I had was not software related in any way. Secondly, the owner/tech knew exactly why my laptop would not power up (see my next point).



5) All this incompetence and untruthfulness was confirmed when I took my laptop to Acorn Technologies, Inc. (5-star rating for them, by the way!). When they removed the base, it was immediately evident that the cables inside had been disconnected--this was why my laptop would not power up. Acorn Technologies went on to replace the base of my laptop that very day, with no problems whatsoever.
