A few weeks ago I posted on FB how wonderful I thought the Clever Eye Care Clinic was. And while I still like the treatment we received while there, I must also warn that you cannot rely on the office to be accurate on whether your insurance will cover any part of the exam. Prior to making an appointment, I provided the office with our insurance information and was told the visit would be covered other than the co-pay amount. I paid the co-pay and thought that was the end of it. Imagine my surprise to find that our insurance did not cover anything and I was being billed for $135.00. I explained to the office that I did not feel I owed anything since they had assured me the insurance covered all but the co-pay and was told they would work on it with the insurance company. Today I receive a letter stating they were charging me only $89.00 and to pay promptly or I would be charged service fees. I would suggest this office do some training on obtaining pre-approvals with insurance companies and on providing quality customer service. They fail miserably
