If you haven’t been here, it’s an absolute must! It’s a beautiful hidden gem for the most part. Their website will say 12-8 Thursday through Saturday or something like that but the restaurant portion does not open until 4pm. Everything they bring to you is absolutely delicious. Fried chicken, pork in gravy and extra gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, the best tasting Mac and cheese you ever ate, and ham biscuits! The have amazing deserts—especially if you go during strawberry season— alllll of it is grown and cooked at their farm. They have a wine tasting, cornhole boards and other miscellaneous activities including feeding peacocks, goats, etc..
In the winter, they have hay rides and it’s a beautiful and magical place nearing Christmas. I can’t love this place enough.

Just a little ways from Jacksonville, NC is one of the area's neatest agri-tourism spots. Mike's Farm is a working farm with a restaurant, bakery & gift shop. The restaurant serves an old-fashioned country feast - fried chicken, pork with gravy, mashed potatoes, veggies, and a mac & cheese that is the best I've ever had. The kids love going to the pumpkin patch in the fall & feeding the animals. If you haven't made it out to Mike's yet, you really don't know what you are missing.
