With 30 years in business, Gumdrop Books/Central Programs is a family-owned company that has grown from a mom-and-pop operation to a major international distributor of educational materials for preschool through college levels. The company offers titles from more than 50 different publishers to more than 40,000 public and private schools and public libraries worldwide. Its automated, 139,000-square-foot warehouse in Bethany, Mo., contains approximately 1 million books, allowing Gumdrop to maintain a fulfillment rate of more than 96 percent on customer orders. Gumdrop distributes books from American Education Publishing, Chartwell Books, Chrysalis Education, Dafina Books, DK Publishing, Kensington and Weekly Reader among others.
