Since April of 2011, I have purchased 14 new tires for my personal vehicle, 8 tires for my little brother's vehicle, and 4 for a friend of mine's car.



These tires were all sold as "new", but were explained that they were "visual defect" tires. The owner explained that this happens when a letter on a tire is not formed properly, etc.



Well, I didn't pay any attention to it until I noticed each set of tires only lasted about 5k-7.5k miles before showing wires. After doing some more research, I realized the manufacturing dates had been scuffed off of the tires as well and that these tires could be VERY out of date.



Tire shops are not allowed to sell tires older than 6 years as "new". I am currently filing a complaint with the BBB as well as the state.



I only took the time to post this to hope this saves someone else the headaches I have received while dealing with these shady tire people...
