Operational since 1881, Berkeley Adult School provides education to senior citizens aged 50 and older. Its academic department offers classes in science, social studies, English, art and math. The school s career technical education department provides courses in health-related occupational training, office skills, computer applications, and warehouse and other employment areas. Berkeley Adult School also offers a range of special services and programs for people with several disabilities. It additionally provides the English as a Second Language program. The school conducts classes in dance, financial planning and theater arts. Berkeley Adult School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
