Every month I have a problem with getting my son's medication which needs a prior authorization, and every month for the last two years they have failed to get the authorization to the insurance company. My son has gone up to 15 days without his medication because MCC screws up the authorization, even when given advance notice.
1. This past week I called and they said the pharmacy did not send the authorization, two days before he runs out of medication,

2. I physically go to MCC that evening and they tell me that the pharmacy did not fax the denial to them

3. While at the office I call the pharmacy and they tell me that they sent it two days ago and sends it again that night. The male receptionist tells me he received the fax
4. Three days later the insurance company tells me they have not received the prior authorization from the Physician (MCC)
5. I call MCC and a women receptionist answers and tell me the Pharmacy did not send the denial letter for the insurance company. Even though I was told Tuesday night they had.
6. I call the pharmacy and they send the denial fax a third time.
7. Then, I called MCC and they informed me that the pharmacist was using the wrong number (Even though I was told they received the fax Tuesday and they have been sending faxes to the same number for almost 4 years) Now that I have MCC has the fax, I should be expecting approval from the insurance company right?
8. My wife calls the insurance and they inform her that have not been contacted by MCC in over a month.
Up to this point my son has been nine days without medication and counting and this is not a onetime even it happens every month!
But there is more! In the past four years they have changed doctors four times, they seem unable to keep a doctor on staff, and the therapists (the only good thing about his group) seems and ready to leave.
If it were possible to give them lower than One star, I would. Maybe they deserve 10 rotten eggs!
