I just wanted to let everyone know about the SPOT for Birth Control Choices in Deschutes County. The have locations in Bend, Redmond and La Pine. There are two locations in Bend, one specifically for people 25 years and under downtown. All their info is on their website. The amazing thing about the SPOT is that even if you have insurance or no insurance at all, they offer amazing service. They have almost every single method available to choose from for birth control, like pills, patches, rings, implants, IUDs, and condoms. Also, the nurses and doctors their are SO smart! They talk about this stuff all day everyday, so they really are experts. They also provide annual exams for women and STD/STI testing for both men and women at all their locations. So, if you have no or little health insurance, or your health insurance doesn't cover the birth control method you want, check out the SPOT. Also, the SPOT sees everyone, so if you want to see knowledgeable staff about any questions you have around birth control, STD/STIs and things like healthy relationships, definitely check them out.
