I just went to Chan's for the first time. My husband and I had the Sesame Beef and the Scallion Beef. They were both outstanding. What is even more remarkable is that the chef was able to substitute a wheat-free soy sauce in both dishes to make them gluten-free. Most of the dishes on the menu can be modified to be gluten-free, and many are gluten-free already with no modification. The waiter (Mark) was very friendly and helpful, and didn't make me feel like I was being a bother at all (something people with food allergies and sensitivities often encounter). Chan's menu proudly states, "Low Sodium, Gluten Free, No sugar and low Oil Orders are Welcome!" -- and unlike many restaurants which may be willing to accommodate a special diet by serving plain, unseasoned, steamed food, there was no compromise on taste! I would recommend this restaurant to anybody with special dietary needs, especially Celiac Disease.

Seriously - not another Chinese restaurant in Bend can come close to Chan's food and prices
