O-H.....so good!!
.....I-O the Buckeye Express Diner another visit!!!

It’s the Choo-Choo diner with the Cowboys & Indians atop of the hill off I-71 at Exit 165. The casual seating is inside old train cars with tons of Ohio State Buckeye memorabilia. Once you place your order at the front counter, you can walk through the museum-like ambiance, enjoying complimentary popcorn, while on your mission to find family-friendly seating. Buckeye fans, you will enjoy time-traveling through decades of OSU collectibles.

The burgers were otherworldly with a subtle mix of full-flavor & generous cheese, so juicy & good. The macaroni & cheese was thickly gum-smacking & rich. The fresh-cut fries were fabulous, and of course malt vinegar was provided in the center of the tabletop. There was no wait on seating, and the food was served fast with generous portions in large baskets.

You may feel sticker shock at the sight of $9 burgers & sandwiches, but I guarantee that the value is all there! The $5 kids’ menu portions actually feed your children, so they’re not asking what’s next to eat in two (2) hours. Overall, this was a really delicious meal off the beaten path. If I had one (1) suggestion, then it would be a conversion to the sit-down menu style ordering & updated cash out (because I had no idea where the total I paid tallied or tipping process). This was our second visit, and we will most definitely return again for those burgers!

What a great little place! Fr...

What a great little place! From the location itself (inside a train) to the decor (Buckeye memorbilia) its charming just to sit in there. How often can you say you ate in a train car or caboose? It even has a great view since its up on a hill.

But the really great thing about this place is the food. I tried the Woody burger, which has a special horseradish-bacon sauce on it and it was fantastic. The Mac and cheese was gooey and delish, and the fries were just like the ones you can get at the fair. Everything was great and the portions were huge and well worth the price paid. Everyone I ate with enjoyed their food just as much. I'll definitely be going back.
