I wrote a review on 04-07-2014 when Topside finished my roof. It looks beautiful on the outer side of the roof. Within six months of Topside finishing my roof we found mold in the attic once again. The installer's placed the baffles upside down similar to the way the original roofers had done. Also Topside talked me in to going against the engineer's recommendation of putting in appropriate ventilation, as topside assured me that their system would give more that enough ventilation. When the mold came the owner and manager insisted that this was not their issue and that work was well done. We also have a leak they could not find, but my brother did. They still have not fixed it. We spent endless tiring hours and days for more than 3 weeks and three guys fixing their work and mold re-mediating while the owner and manager stood and watched and continued NOT to take any responsibility. At one point the owner offered me two hundred dollars to replace the baffles, which was one of the main causes for all the problems. This was one of the biggest insults I had ever received in my life and of course I declined. I have spent thousands since trying to save my home. I called Topside's insurance Co. and they brought in an engineer who who inspected our home from top to bottom. The final conclusion was that Topside's work was responsible for the condensation problems and biological growth in the attic that occurred after their work. Subsequently, Topside was contacted and still failed to discuss this with us. Our next step is to take them to court. I would strongly recommend not having any work done by Topside Roofing Co. as they do not stand by their work. This has been a nightmare and thanks to my brother and son, we were able to salvage my home, unfortunately while the Topside Owner and manager stood in my garage and home denying that it was there work. I wouldn't wish what we went through on anyone. Avoid this happening to you. (I had to give them one star to complete this review, but they should not have any.

Similar to those people who gave glowing reviews, we had nothing but good things to say about the installation of our roof by Topside Roofing. That was ten years ago.However ... one month outside of the 5-month workmanship warranty we experienced a leak which damaged a bathroom ceiling. We had it repaired by another roofing contractor, and that leak seems to have been resolved. Subsequently, we experienced additional leaks which damaged the kitchen ceiling. In the last month, we discovered that water has been leaking in above the laundry room door, and there is now a crack in the drywall next to the door. Additionally, while we were out of town last week, another leak manifested itself in our bedroom. A 2' X 2' section of ceiling collapsed. We are also concerned about a possible hidden leak in a corner of our son's bedroom closet. In short, there appear to be multiple leaks in different places on the roof, and we feel the entire roof has failed. Topside has not been particularly responsive to our complaints. They did offer a small discount on roof replacement. We feel that given the extent of trouble we have had with a relatively new roof, they would be embarrassed by the workmanship issues and would want to ameliorate the problem. Instead, they seem to want to shift the blame to the roofers who repaired the bathroom and kitchen leaks. We will be replacing the roof far sooner than we had hoped and we have an insurance adjuster coming to assess other damages. :(

I recently faced a huge challenge when discovering that my builder made a huge error when building my roof. We discovered that the attic of my six year old home was mold due to the workman stuffing the insulation against all of the bird holes which kept my attic from getting any air. After a long process of drying and treating the wood in the attic I decided it was time to call a roofing company. I met with three roofing companies and received three very different estimates. I decided to go with Topside Roofing and Siding and here is why:The estimator, Mark West, was very professional and down to earth. He listend to what I wanted and gave very good suggestions regarding products and also ways to resolve the ventilation problem in my home. He promised a job well done and never put any pressure on us. He gave me information to help me choose a roof, (colors and styles) that I would like. He gave us a start date (which he kept to the day).It must be noted that this was not a small job, as my roof had to be stripped down to the trusses, due to the mold and damage to the sheeting. (When I say new roof, I mean new roof)The project began as scheduled. The job was ran by a working foreman, (Allan Bergstrom - hope the spelling is correct). Allan is absolutely amazing. He takes pride in his work and it shows on my roof. I never liked the way my previous roof looked. It always looked really flat and soggy. Alan broght my new roof to life. Between the design and colors that I chose and Alan's expertise, my roof looks absolutely amazing. I informed Mark and Alan that I wanted some (pop and accent to my roof). Mark showed me what I could use to get the affect and Alan's talent kicked in and he created a trim on my roof that looks awesome. My old flat soggy looking roof is now a rich colorful fashionable design. I am very pleased that I chose Topside and would "highly recommend" them to anyone. I am not sure how well the other installers are, but would guess pretty good. But definately request Allan if you want amazing work done on your home. Topside did a great job. Hauled off all the old roofing and cleaned out gutters too. They also cleaned up any fallen debris from the yard. They alerted us to a problem we had with some of our plywood sheets. The crew worked hard and did a great job. The roof looks wonderful. We look forward to feeling a lot safer in the winter storms now with our new roof.I recommend this company to anyone looking to replace their roof.

I needed to have the roof replaced on my home. Jon took the time to explain all what needed to be done, and answered my questions. The follow up call was great, and Jon worked with me to get excatly what I wanted. The workers were all friendly and at the end of the day, it didnt even look like they had been there. They worked hard, and quickly. I would recomend Topside, quality work and great product.

Topside Roofing was great to work with, they showed up on time and never left the job site messy.Jon, the project manager was very helpful and always stopping by to view the progress on my roof. The Estimator, Mark, gave me a fair price and and answered all my questions and always returned my phone calls. Makayla the secretary was always so polite on the phone and mailed out well put together bid packets with a ton of information and samples of all my options when choosing my roof!
