Operating since 1915, the Ocala Water & Sewer Department is dedicated to providing the highest quality and most economical service possible and doing it in a way that protects natural resources. To accomplish this task, the utility has a water plant capable of processing 24.4 million gallons of water each day, three water reclamation facilities, 386 miles of water lines, 369 miles of sewer gravity and force mains, 108 lift stations, numerous reclaimed water spray and underground drip irrigation systems and reclaimed biosolids application programs that safely return reuse water and biosolids to the environment. The Ocala Water & Sewer Department is located in Belleview, Fla.
