My wife's son sent two parcels from Las Vegas, NV to his mother in Georgia. One arrived in a timely fashion after getting to the Bell Garden Sorting Facility. The other arrived according to tracking info at the same time. The packages were sent on the 27th of July. Both should have arrived early August. After a case number was assigned and several calls made from both Nevada and Georgia, today a perfunctory statement was available on line:The case is closed. I have read of the USPS' Black Hole or Bermuda Triangle. I have a third name for them, Den of Thieves.
