We had the worst experience here with this DR. My son has been experiencing some extreme sleep apnea/snoring and at only 2 years old. This was concerning to me bc I know the effects sleep apnea can have in the heart Ect. We went to Dr.Brown and he was nothing but dismissive of the problem, rude and threatened by my knowledge. (I am an ICU RN) He did a minimal assessment and said he didn't see anything wrong and he didn't have the typical symptoms of swollen adenoids. When I insisted this was a problem and mention the effects on the heart he gave a Kurt smile and said " oh I see mommy has been doing her research". Then said the only thing he could do was an exploratory surgery. Umm BS. When I suggested a sleep study he said " oh that's all fine and dandy if you own a sleep lab and more trouble than it's worth." At that point I knew I would never let this man lay a hand on my child. Hoping he would out grow the problem and keeping a close eye on him, 7 months later the problem began to get worse. When I called the office to get another appointment with the other doctor on staff there I was informed that I was not allowed to switch doctors and that was their policy. Seriously??! Right. Well we will be going to musc pediatric pulmonology and the drive will be well worth it. Do not go see this doctor. He has zero bedside manner and doesn't care about his patients
