Bayonne Economic Opportunity Foundation, established in 1965, is a private, nonprofit charitable organization. BEOF is the designated community action program for the city of Bayonne, N.J. It encourages local resident participation through its council that benefits low-income households, minority and disadvantaged people of all ages. The foundation offers a range of programs, including head start, senior residential maintenance, New Jersey shares and low-income heating energy assistance. BEOF also offers elderly and handicapped transportation, meals on wheels program, community outreach service, housing counseling and Hispanic affairs program.
