Dr. Novak and the PCA Pain Care Center is a horrible office. The physician is very nasty and her bed side manner is horrible. The staff is not nice, waited at the front desk for 10 minutes before someone showed up to check me in. The MA was very snide in almost forcing a drug screen on my first visit which I have no problem with because I take my meds appropriately. Waited almost 40 minutes in the room for the doctor, no one came to tell me she was running behind. I opened the door and asked one girl with long hair what the hold up was and she walked right past me and went in the back not saying a word! Very unprofessional office. When the doctor finally arrived she was rude, abrupt looked to see what my insurance was and without asking me hardly any questions about my pain said well I am going to schedule you for an injection. The doctor then directed me to the front desk to schedule that appt. but turned to me and said now don't you come back in 2 weeks after your injection and tell me that shot didn't work. Say what? The doctor also looked and sounded very groggy almost like she had a hang over or was intoxicated. I asked to speak with a manager and the girl with the long hair came up front and did not give any reasonable explanation to the doctor's behavior. She acted like it was normal and actually stuck up for the Doctor! Well that just shows you the unprofessionalism all around in this office. The Doctor also talked constantly about her family her mother and daughter I came to a pain doctor to get help for my pain not come to listen to the doctor talk about her family and ignore me as a patient. She did listen to anything I had to say because she would not stop talking about herself and her family! When I asked to speak with the owner the girl stated they were not locally owned. Say what!? who runs this establishment! Very unprofessional! I clearly canceled my appt and will never return to such an unprofessional office ever! Dr. Novak is very nasty, rude, condescending and makes everyone who encounters her never want to return! Where is the management? Where are The owners? The staff was lazy, uncourteous, rude and not helpful at all! Worst office ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
