I chose Dr. Puyau because she was an older woman who I thought would understand my issues. She did have a good bedside manner and was easy to talk to but she did not help me with my problem. I was having severe menepause symptoms, especially in the vaginal area. She did a blood test and said everything was in the normal range and there was nothing else that could be done. I decided to talk to my endoncrinologist who treats me for my thyroid and his field is also expert in hormones. He did ALL the neccessary blood work. He told me I was indeed in menepause and actually, no longer ovalating at all. He put me on two different medications, one for estogen and the other for vaginal. Within a week I was feeling better. He said there is no reason why women have to feel this way! He is an awesome doctor. I'm hearing more and more gynocologist just aren't taking women and menepause seriously and when they say we are in the "normal" range it means we are actually drying and shriveling up! Don't think I will continue to use her for my gynocologist needs....will have to continue the search for a good doctor.
